lateral epicondylitis and arthritic finger for 3 months

50 year old lady tells me she has been suffering from pain in elbow for the last three months. pain is located in her left elbow (lateral). she is also concerned about her left pinky; the distal joint (the last joint of her little finger) is crooked and very painful.

when asked, she tells me she is under a lot of stress recently (for the last three months) often she can't fall asleep or she wakes up too early and can't go back to sleep. she is slighty heavy. she wakes up in the middle of the night to go to the restroom to urinate. she experiences palpitation when she is anxious or stressed. she is slightly constipated sometimes her stool is as hard as a rock. her pain is worse with damp weather... her mouth is dry/thirsty. overall she feels warm not cold.

treatment

LI 5- SI5-  ST 36 + LI 11 +  

after 10 min pain in her finger improved about 80% and elbow pain around 50%.  LI 11 (opposite side) was reinserted closed to the tendon/bone. then pain in elbow improved overall 80%.

Carpal Tunnel Syndrome for 6 months

70 year old female patient came to my office due to pain in her right hand for 6 months. According to her medical doctor her pain is due to carpal tunnel syndrome. 

Upon exam she can't close or open her hand completely due to pain and stiffness.  Pain is worse at night. 

Other signs and symptoms
Frequent urination day and night (up to 5x at night)
Feeling warm/hot at night
frequently sees "flower-looking" objects in her right eye
When its windy, she experences watery eyes.
Shortness of breath
No problem with sleeping
occasional palpitation but nothing recently
feeling thirsty
hands feel hot at night too
abdominal distention
pain is no worse with damp weather.
no other signs/symptoms

Treatment

Sp 3- Kd 3- Lu 8 +  
afther these three points patient was able to open and close her right hand.

added Kd2 - no change.

Patient was very happy with the result.

Pain in Gum

30 year old patient came to my office with pain in his lower gum. (Previously he visited my office due to his acute low back pain and had a very positive experience with acupuncture)

A few weeks ago he was brushing his teeth in a hurry and he hit his lower gum really hard with the plastic head of his tooth brush by accident.  At that moment it didn't hurt so much but gradually pain got worse especially when he moves his lower lip up and down.

First treatment

LI 11- only 10% improvement according to him
SP 3 + didn't do anything

then LV1 - additional 50% better (LV1- is chosen as to tonify SP)

Nausea

30 year old female came to my office for acute neck pain for a few days. She is thin and looks exhausted. According to her she has been feeling extremely tired since she moved to her new home a month ago.

In addition she feels slightly congested in her chest due to phlegm which is hard to expectorate. Recently she sneezes a lot along with runny nose (clear mucus) Then for a couple of days she feels nauseous. Upon palpation she has pain in the upper stomache area with pressure.

Treatment: SP 3-

Due to extreme fatigue phlegm has developed in her stomache.

Right after the treatment loud growling noise was heard from her stomache and she said her nausea was almost gone.

She called the very next day confirming her nausea disappeared.

Pain after shoulder replace surgery

45 year old female patient has suffered from right shoulder pain since she had right shoulder replacement surgery (according to the patient) 4 years ago. Pain is worse with damp/cold weather. Before treatment she couldnt raise her right arm all the way up.

Though her pain is worse with cold/damp weather, since she had the surgery.

LI 11- was done.  ROM became full and pain decreased significantly.
