water retention in legs for years

60 yr old female patient came to my office this summer. she had a list of symptoms including acid reflex, leaky capillaries in the legs, indigestion, skin allergies, post menopausal symptoms and so on

sometimes more symptoms are better for a practitioner to identify the root of the problems. sometimes more symptoms can just confuse one. at first her sign/symptoms seem to be all scattered. so I started asking more questions.

s/s: shortness of breath, stuffiness in chest, arrhythmia, acid reflex, nausea with fatty food, prefers winter, slight heaviness in legs, insomnia, itchy eyes, good appetite, distended stomach 2-3 times a wk, frequent urination at night, high cholesterol, osteoporosis, red itchy skin, sensitive skin, and water retention in lower legs.

It can be phlegm damp or SI HT or KD... I was going to treat it as phlegm damp due to food stagnation but then she has good appetite and her body type is somewhat thin. she did not sound anxious or stressed...

Tx: SP 3 - her breathing improved and pain in REN 12 area disappeared.
LU 8 + breathing improved even more.
