Same Treatment for Different Conditions I

Case # 1:

50 yr old patient came to my office complaining of pain in her right ring finger for 2 yrs. it is painful when she opens and closes her hand.

exam reveals she has CTS and tenosynovitis.

she uses her hand all the time at work. other s/s are negative.

TX: SI 6 to SJ 5 left side. (through tech)

patient has no pain after 30 min tx but clicking remains the same.
so far patient came twice. clicking is about 60% better and pain is much better according to patient

Case #2: 50 yr old female. cc: on and off right heel pain for 1 yr. she is limping when she suffers from her heel pain. upon exam, she seemed to have pain in achiles tendon. (other s/s were negative)

tx: same as above (after tx, patient did not have pain in heel so she did not limp)

Case #3: 45 yr old female. she complained of severe pain in lung 7 area due to too much writing.

Tx: same as above. it took about 8 visits for her too feel much better because her job required lots of writing.

when there is pain in tendon (that is not related to any organs or dampness or etc) it is good to try SI 6 thru SJ 5.
